The Campbell J. Naismith Amateur Pibroch Award was created in 1974 by Irene and James Naismith. It commemorates the year in which Campbell Naismith competed in the professional piping class for the first time. The Award features a replica of St. Martin’s Cross, a Celtic cross found on the isle of Iona, Scotland, and is awarded at the San Diego Scottish Highland Games.
